§ 00 About

Portrait on a dark ground, studio light.

I do not believe in perfect smiles. I believe in smiles that suit the people who wear them.

I am Cristina Păcurar, a dentist in Sibiu, and my practice is dedicated to restorative, aesthetic and prosthetic dentistry.

Things made with precision have always drawn me. In dentistry I found the place where medical rigour, patience and attention to detail meet naturally, and every smile I rebuild has to look like it belongs to the person wearing it: natural, functional, in harmony with their own features.

The way I work is perhaps closer to a craft than to the picture most people have of medicine.

So every case begins with a conversation. Before photographs, scans or treatment plans, I want to understand the person in front of me.

§ 02 Training

What I learned, and who I learned it from.

I do not think any dentist is formed on their own. My mentors shaped the way I look at dentistry today, and being grateful to them is part of the path.

From my student years I had the privilege of being guided by Senior Lecturer Dr. Cristina Molnar-Varlam and by Prof. Dr. Mariana Păcurar, under whose supervision I wrote my degree thesis and continue my doctoral research.

One period that counted was the time spent in Prof. Paulo Malo's team, where I went deeper into the prosthetic side of the All-on-4 technique.

The courses that followed I did not pick by name. I picked them by what I wanted to be able to do afterwards.

And I am still learning. The list of people I want to learn from is still long.

§ 03 What I believe

Predictability, not luck.

In aesthetic dentistry, precision means predictability. The result is built at the planning stage, not on the day the work is finished.

That is why I work with digital impressions, an intraoral scanner and 3D planning (digital smile design) before the first step of the treatment. I can show you the direction we are heading in, we can adjust the details together, and we take the decisions before anything is done to the tooth.

A treatment has gone well when it feels natural. So natural that afterwards only the smile stays with you, not the story of the treatment.

§ 04 Contact

Let's talk about what bothers you.

A first conversation costs nothing but time, and more often than not it settles whether you need a large treatment or a small one.
